First, download the free softphone.
(Mac users can download it here)
Click on Save in the download window:
Before you being installing, close all other applications you have running... the installer will restart your computer automatically.
After the file downloads, click on Run or double-click the file on your desktop.
Follow the installation prompts and when you're finished your computer will restart.

Set up the softphone
This may look complex, but it's really very simple.
Click on the Show Menu button (top of the phone, left side) and select SIP Account Settings.
Click on Properties.
In the Account tab, enter:
Username: (your Freedigits number)
Password: (your password)
Domain: freedigits.net
In the Topology tab, enter:
Use specified server: stun.freedigits.net
When you're done, click OK and then click on Close.
In a moment your softphone will find our server and display your Freedigits number. You are now ready to start making and receiving calls anonymously! |
